Moose Drool and Wedding Bells

In the spring of 2003, I traveled to Bozeman for a business / pleasure trip. I was introduced to two new life experiences--the opera ( Pagliacci-a violent clown opera ) and Moose Drool beer. I spent one week visiting with good friends and interviewing for a faculty position in the Department of Entomology at Montana State University. I was blown away by the grand vistas and incredible landscapes that go on as far as the eye can see in Gallantin County.

On my last night in Bozeman, my friends treated me to a wonderful dinner at a new restaurant in town. After the mouth watering meal, we headed to a local club for some drinking and dancing. My friend, Kerri, had invited her friend, Jane, to meet us at the club. I was immediately taken by Jane and her stunning brown eyes. It was if Jane and I had known each other for years. After a few margaritas, we left the group to find a quieter ( and more secluded ) part of the club so that we could get to know each other better. Jane ordered two dark beers from the waitress because she knew I liked Beck's Dark. While we drank our beers, she told me that the brown ale was brewed locally--Missoula. What could be better--I was with a beautiful woman and we were drinking a great beer ?

Jane and I talked on the phone several times a day for six months. Exactly six months and six days later, we were married in Las Vegas at the Little White Chapel before a select group of family and friends. We held the reception at the Venetian because the Venetian is where your dream Las Vegas wedding unites with storybook charm. The wedding party danced and consumed mass quantities of alcohol into the wee hours of the night. BTW--the only beer on tap were the four kegs of Moose Drool that my buddy, Andy Wisbelgo, hauled in his truck from Seattle. Thanks again Bro !!

Thanks to the good folks at the Big Sky Brewery for helping make my trip to Montana and my wedding day memorable "Moments"....indeed.
