I'm an east coast guy (born and live in Mass.), who married a woman from Montana, and having been introduced to many fine MT brews on my trips out there, I was overjoyed when I found the aluminum bottles over Christmas...
We can't get Moosedrool in MA, so one I saw the new bottles, I immediately hatched my plan to bring home with me.
So we bought 2 6-packs, covered them in bubblewrap, and loaded up our luggage for the flight home.
Of course, being shaped like they are, I'm sure the airport security didn't know what to make of them, so they made sure to check them out and remove the wrap (which resulted in a few dinged bottles when they didn't repack them the way we had), but they made the trip intact (as did the other 12pack of glass bottles we UPS'd to ourselves to arrive a week later).
We're now buying a house this spring, and will no doubt build a bar and enjoy them after we're done moving.
There are a lot of fine brews out in New England, but I rank Moosedrool high enough to consider it one of my faves...hope distribution brings it my way soon.
