I came over to the USA from the UK in 2002 to do a tour of The Black Hills and Yellowstone. I spent the second night in Hill City, not far from Mount Rushmore and that evening was badly in need of a meal and a beer and not necessarily in that order. I had heard that American beer was not worth the time of day, but knew that not to be true, having been to Boston and sampled some of the fine ales from their micro breweries. I looked around the bar/restaurant we were in to see what others were drinking and liked the look of a dark beer that several people had. I asked the waiter what it was. "Moose Drool" he replied, so I just had to order one.
Well, it was just like nectar and I slept very well that night, after my third pint.
I was then well and truly hooked and wherever I went after that, was always on the look out for Moose Drool. I even bought a T-Shirt to take home and would you believe, I am actually wearing it now.
To crown it all, I actually saw a moose whilst driving the Beartooth Highway. Wonderful!!
