I am the beverage manager of a restaurant. I love Guinness and Newcastle. The bar that i run will ALWAYS have Guinness & Newcastle on tap. NEVER will they go away...
Well that changed recently. One of my beer reps blind tasted me w/ Newcastle and Moose Drool. I looked at the two beers and tasted the two beers and said 'See I like Newcastle better.' He responded by saying the beer I liked better was in fact Moose Drool. I knew I liked Moose Drool. But side by side, I found out I liked it better. I did the same test with the guys in the kitchen, who like me, are familiar with both beers. And unanimously liked Moose Drool better. That was it, Newcastle was gone.
I thought i would be sad. But i wasn't. It was like seeing your favorite character on your favorite TV show leave only to be replaced by someone you come to find out, you like better. You're sad for a brief moment then realize this new character has made the show better. Moose Drool has done that for us. We have a limited but solid line up of taps and now its even better.
