In 2002 my husband and I drove from Homestead, Fl to visit South Dakota and Yellowstone National Park. We stayed three nights at the Pahaska TeePee Lodge which is located just a few miles outside the eastern entrance to the park. Every night we ate in the bar, so we could watch tv (there are no tv's in the rooms there). The first night, I asked the bartender if he had any local beer, he responded "we have Moosedrool". Of course I had to try it, with a name like that. Well, after 2 or 3 glasses later, I was hooked. So every night, after spending all day driving in the park, I treated myself to a glass or three or Moosedrool. On our last night, The bartender said that he had run out of my new favorite and I stated "well it's time to leave then".
When I returned home I ordered a beer pitcher, and several glasses from the Big Sky Brewing company. Recently, during on of the hurricanes this summer I broke my pitcher, so for my Birthday a friend is going to replace it.
Thanks Big Sky for making my trip even more memorable. I wish I could get some Moose Drool down here in Miami.
