Wow, what an ale! My wife and I just returned from seven days and six nights in Montana (covered 1900 miles on a road trip....gawking at the grandeur all the way). Our first 'Drool overtook us at Great Bear Lodge in St Mary on the eastern side of Glacier National Park.
Honestly, I was expecting a typical microbrew brown ale. Boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise! Easily the best brown ale I've had. Being a self-proclaimed beer snob....especially avoiding nearly all American beers....I must say that our German and Irish ancestors are simply missing the boat when it comes to brown ales.
Maybe the Big Sky boys have German and/or Irish descent. Regardless, Moose Drool is top of our list. Sniffing around for some mail order options so we can enjoy from our Nashville home.
