This happened several years ago when my wife had to go to a bean counter seminar in Whitefish, MT. On a sightseeing trip one day we went to Missoula and came across the Big Sky Brewery. Remembering what a fellow homebrewer told me about the Moose Drool, I tried to purchase some at the brewery but was told that it might go flat by the time I was back in Birmingham, but they sold me a half gallon growler and gave the name of place in Whitefish that could fill it with Moose Drool. On the Saturday morning that we were to leave I went by the eatery that the peopel at the brewery gave me and got the growler filled and put the shrink seal on the bottle and left for the Kalispell airport with the growler in a backpack wrapped in towels to keep it cool and protect it from getting broke. On arriving at the airport and going through the security scanner my backpack was pulled asided and opened. I was asked what was in the bottle. I told the officer that it was Moose Drool. The officer though I was joking and got rather testy and asked again what was in the bottle and again I said Moose Drool. This time the office was really irritated and again I was asked what was in the bottle this time I told the officer that it was "holy water". The officer zipped my backpack, handed it to me and said have nice trip. I kept that backpack between my feet all the way back to Birmingham, AL and the following Wednesday at our homebrew club meeting I opened the growler and we all enjoyed the best beer in a long time. The only regrets we had was that hadn't brought a gallon growler. I keep hoping that I will be able to get back to Montana get some more Moose Drool or it would be sold in this in this state by some miracle.
